 “Becoming a Professor! – Tips for Entering the Academic Job Market”

Hosted by Dr. Maurice Eftink, Associate Provost and Graduate School Dean

This program will be a candid discussion about how graduate students should apply for and transition into academic positions, including a panel discussion offering practical tips and real-world advice on searching for jobs, preparing your curriculum vitae and interviewing with schools. The following professors will be offering their thoughts on the process:

• Dr. Victoria Bush, Professor of Marketing, School of Business Administration
• Dr. Ivo Kamps, Professor of English, Department of English
• Dr. K.B. Melear, Associate Professor, Department of Leadership and Counselor Education
•  Dr. Timothy Nordstrom, Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies, Department of Political Science

This program is part of a series sponsored by The Graduate School and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning aimed at teaching graduate students what they need to know but will not learn in the classroom.
